Manuel Antonio National Park is small for everything it holds. A few square kilometres of rainforest pushed up against the Pacific, three white-sand coves, sloths dozing in the trees over the trail, capuchins working the rocks down at the beach. The town has grown up around the park and the road climbing the hill from Quepos, which gives it its own character. You get rainforest and ocean in the same field of vision, often in the same hour. The people who book a reading from here are usually a few days into a family trip or a slow holiday. The session lands well right there, late enough that the noise of arriving has quieted down, early enough to carry what comes up back into the rest of the week.
