The Osa Peninsula and Corcovado hold some of the densest biodiversity anywhere. Drake Bay, Puerto Jiménez, Cabo Matapalo, the Bahía Drake side. People tend to come here to reset, and a reading can sit right at the centre of that.

The Osa is the part of Costa Rica that's hardest to reach, and it pays you back for the trip. Corcovado still holds the primary rainforest the rest of the country mostly lost, and people who come this far, whether to Drake Bay, Puerto Jiménez or Cabo Matapalo, usually came for a reason. Some are here to reset, some for research, some just for a quiet that's hard to find elsewhere. The trees get big enough that you stop noticing buildings. Howler monkeys start up around four in the morning. Rain shows up without warning and leaves the same way. The things people bring to a reading from here are usually the ones the rest of life is too loud for. The long question you've been circling. The chapter you haven't been able to name yet.
